If you want to understand why we need to reform our health insurance system, you need to know about Americans like Natoma Canfield. Natoma is a 50-year-old cancer survivor from Medina, Ohio, who wrote to President Obama last December.

We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.

General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.

Remember that making the world better begins with responsible action.

Reading my newspaper today part of this article was in it, but also the statement that Ms. Canfield qualifed for Ohio's Medicaid, and wouldn't have had to worry about losing her house, car etc. As a cancer survivor I can only imagine what was going through Canfields mind on how to get treatment, the Administration seems to be using her as a poster women on health care reform but who actually would have had coverage if she applied for Medicaid when she first lost her regular insurance.
